As I mentioned in my last post, Valparaiso is truly the most colorful city I've ever visited. There's something about this much color, everywhere you look, that makes even the shabbiest dwellings and streets look beautiful.
We spent our one day in Valparaiso doing nothing more than wandering the narrow streets, up and down hill after hill, going where the color led us and drew us on.
This photo shows what I meant when I said that even the rocks in the walls were painted, along with every telephone pole and pipe and drain.
Many of the buildings which share walls are actually covered with corrugated metal for their exterior siding, as you can see above. But even that looks elegant when painted so brilliantly.
There are tiny one-room markets on just about every block throughout the city, and all of them are just as colorful as this one.
P.S. - Please bear with me while I continue to try to figure out how to insert these photos in a more visually appealling fashion. What I see on my computer as I create and edit these posts is not what ultimately shows up on the blog. If anyone has any suggestions on how to place the photos better, please drop me a line.
definitivamente Valparaíso tiene llamativos y hermosos lugares, optimos para fotografiar, disfrutar de la comida y del sol en verano

Wow, Paula, these are fabulous. Actually, when I look at them on my computer the placement of the photos is excellent. I don't think you need to change a thing.
