My Photo

  • Website:

I am a 53-year-old writer, artist, photographer and dilettante who's been living in Colorado for the last 20 years. Married to my soul mate for 25 years, we are child-free by choice. I was born and raised in Watertown, NY, just south of the Canadian border where the cold waters of the St. Lawrence River meet the eastern edge of Lake Ontario. Winter and cold has always been in my blood. I've lived in Louisiana, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana and spent the better part of 4 years working as a mud-logger in the Williston Basin of western North Dakota. I have traveled extensively in the U.S., and have visited 49 states: all but Alaska. I have, quite possibly, the most voluminously-documented life of anyone on the planet, as I've kept a diary/journal since the age of 12, and have well over 50,000 slides and photos (color and black and white). With the acquisition of my first digital camera one year ago, these numbers are increasing rapidly! I plan to share both writings and photos here as I continue on with my Apprenticeship to Wonder.

Writing, photography, yoga, travel, reading (contemporary fiction/literature and creative non-fiction), listening to silence, travel, watercolor painting, collage and mixed media, spending time in nature, cross-country skiing, studying Spanish, snorkeling, watching birds, talking to crows, hiking, travel, world music, foreign and artsy-fartsy movies, creating and trading ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) - and did I mention travel?
